Role in Media Marketing and Design Manager
Role Description
It is my job to advertise club events, ongoings and endeavors across platforms and in other ways such as posters, slogans, etc alongside my Co-MMD. I've been Media Marketing and Design Manager for two terms in a row, starting in September 2025.
Designer: They must design digital and physical media that will be used to market the club.
Club Platform Communication: Respond to all DMs, comments and other forms of communication on social media accounts and club platforms (excluding email); if unsure of what to say, inform another executive of the DM. If the DM refers to a specific executive, inform them about it. If the DM is regarding being added to the mailing list, inform the secretary.
Audio and Visual Media Manager: Obtain images, videos and audio recorded by members (or volunteer photographers). Upload them to a folder in JamNetwork’s Google Drive and share a link in the next newsletter. Post some or all of the videos on the Youtube channel. Post audio recordings that were intended to be shared on SoundCloud. Advertise these on social media after uploading.
Branding Coordinator: They must manage and organize the branding of the club, especially in matters such as the logo, official club names or slogans, or colour schemes.
Discord: Organize the discord server, i.e. create channels as needed and assign roles as needed. The media, marketing and design manager is the head of the discord server.

JamNetwork
JamNetwork is the largest music club at University of Waterloo. They host two concerts a term (4 months) and host 3-4 open mics too, while hosting many other music events such as instrument workshops, music listening events and community events. They also provide equipment and a practice space to those who want to practice with their bands.
To give people of all skill levels, backgrounds and styles a space to express themselves musically. The club should always be welcoming towards beginners, and towards music of different cultures, time periods, and levels of popularity.
To connect and network musically inclined people at UW, while creating an environment where people feel comfortable playing and communicating with one another. To a lesser extent, this also applies to people or groups outside of the university who wish to get involved with the club.
To provide an opportunity for musical education.
To create music and give people an opportunity to perform and record. We believe self expression and realization is very important, and achievable, partly through music.
To accomplish all of the above while being governed through democratic decision making.
Consistent posting, following JamNetwork's previous style guide. Designed a new Bi-Weekly Calendar format that's still used today.

Standardized template I made for the biweekly calendar which improved the experience of members in terms of an easy way to see all the events we are hosting in an easy to digest format.
